Lu Hanna’s art is concept-driven, but in the space between object and body, the focus is on translation of materials and mark making. The materials are varied and diverse, such as paper, metal, faux fur, x-rays and/or paint. Themes in her work are movement/migration, transition, accessibility, and diversity.
Lu Hanna began her formal education in art at Wichita State University and her Bachelor’s degree was completed in Art & Film/Video in 2009, at The Evergreen State University.
